How to Lock in Moisture After Your Shower: A Simple Baby Oil Hack

Ever felt like your skin is tight and dry after your shower, even after moisturizing? Me too! Until now.
I’d like to share with you a simple after-shower trick I learnt from the stunning actress, Jodie Turner Smith, and it involves one simple, budget-friendly ingredient, baby oil.
So, the trick is to apply the baby oil immediately after your shower, when your skin is still damp.
Here’s why it works
Baby Oil is an occlusive, which means it acts as a protective barrier for your skin’s moisture. When you apply it while your skin is still damp from the shower, it traps the moisture from the water in the shower, in addition to the moisture from the baby oil, leaving your skin moisturized, soft and glowing. It’s also gentle enough to use for my sensitive skin girlies. :).

How to do it?
After showering, lightly pat your skin and leave it damp. Then apply baby oil all over. At times your skin may still feel damp, so before you start dressing up, allow the baby oil to be absorbed into your skin. Meanwhile you could brush your teeth or do your facial skincare routine as your face dries.
For more moisture, you could apply your lotion. Then to seal it all and for extra moisture, apply Vaseline or Arimis.
Try this and thank me later.
In the past, I used to apply baby oil as the last step to leave my skin glowy, however, this method has proven to give better results.
I recommend the Ballet Baby Oil for this. It has sweet almond oil and vitamin E, both powerful and effective ingredients for healthy and moisturized skin.
A bottle ranges from Ksh.150-250, depending on the size and where you buy it.
Try this simple yet effective hack and let me know how it goes. :).
Till next post,
Miss Kambe.
