I quit my 'DREAM' job at 25 without ​​having another lined up.

I was always one to thrive in situations where I could clearly see the next step. I used to avoid taking risks like a plague. Safe is where I thrived.

When I was 25, I secured an internship opportunity at an organization that was once a dream of mine to join. Global presence. Reputable name. Plenty of opportunities for growth.... In the society's and my eyes at the time, I was absolutely killing it!

A few months into the role, and things began to take a turn. Anxiety became a close friend, second-guessing my skills and doubting myself became the norm, burnout was slowly but surely creeping in. I felt that something was off even though everything looked good on paper.

I tried to make it work, but eventually chose to pull the plug without another job lined up.

Quitting this role was one of the riskiest things I'd ever done. It was so scary, yet incredibly freeing. It signified the demise of performing for society and it gave birth to;

• Living in alignment, courageously.

• Trusting my intuition when something doesn't feel right.

• Challenging the ideas of what I have been told success should be, and choosing to define it for myself.

• Getting clarity on my career trajectory, now and boldly pursuing it, one step in faith, at a time.

And that's why I am here, to inspire you to do the same.

• This is not my first blog. I have another one that I like to call my first baby. It’s called A Breath Of Fresh Air.

• My favorite colors are Mustard Yellow, Jungle Green, Purple & Pink.

• I am a born-again believer. I wouldn’t be where I am in life if it weren’t for My Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

• My favorite fruit is Pineapple. I cannot stand Paw Paw.

• I like to refer to myself as an awakened empath. I still love deeply, but I am learning to love wisely. I've learned the hard way that not everyone has the capacity to appreciate and value your love and loyalty. Kindness without boundaries and discernment, is very dangerous.

• My favorite things to do are going to the gym, visiting new restaurants & museums, shopping, reading, writing, dancing, karaoke, and, travelling.

• I recharge my energy when I am alone, but I love being around people as long as the vibe is right! Once my social battery runs out, I can't wait to leave!​
