I have worn my hair naturally for seven years. For the past decade, we have witnessed a revolution amongst many African women, or women all over the world of African descent, beginning to love, embrace, and proudly wear out their 4C hair, in all its kinky glory.
It’s been about three months since I relaxed my hair, and I am happy to report that the journey is going quite well.
In the first post of my healthy relaxed hair journey, I shared that before I relaxed my hair, I had had artificial locs for about 6 months, intending to leave my hair alone to grow and be healthy enough to relax. However, after I took down the artificial locs, my hair was unhealthy and I lost a lot of volume.
